I am building a home in NC with the intention of selling it and building another. This home is being constructed as "owner/builder" and that is me. I pulled the building permit and have sub-contracted out all the work to licensed local trades (plumbing, electrical etc). I am not a licensed general contractor in NC and the home has no construction financing as I am funding the project myself.
I am told by some that I will not be able to sell the home until I have lived in it for a year after receiving the CoO. Others say that is not the case. I am looking for the correct answer.
