How do I Answer/Bid for a question or service?
|
-
Go to the Answer a Question Page.
-
Enter a price at which you would answer the question, perform the
service, etc, in order to answer the question. If there are any
information/details requested, fill in that text box, and then press
submit.
-
Once submitted, the Inquirer will be able to see your profile and
feedback as well as the price at which you propose to answer the
question/provide the service.
|
| |
|
What are the different question types I can create?
|
-
Services - Service requests are for Inquirers who want an
ongoing service instead of just a single question. The Inquirer posts a
service that they need and optionally, the most that they will pay for
that service. A service provider bids to provide that service with the
price at which they would perform the service. The inquirer selects the
service provider they prefer (though is no obligation to select anyone
if none match your criteria), based on profile, price and past users
feedback, and the they pay the service provider (not ExpertBee) when
they meet to perfrom the service. The Service Provider pays ExpertBee
$7.95 in order to gain a new client.
-
Questions -
Do you need information? Then post a question with the maximum that you
would pay for the answer. Experts will bid to answer your question and
you can select them based on profile, price and past users feedback.
|
| |
|
What are the differences between Service Requests and Questions?
|
|
A question example would be if you need help with a math problem. The
Service Request would be if you need a tutor. Another question example
would be if you needed a help with a tax issue. The service request is
if you need an accountant.
|
| |
|
What happens if I am unhappy with my answer?
|
|
Unfortunately, ExpertBee is unable to resolve disputes. This is
why it is important to review past feedback and background of the
Expert. Also it helps to clearly write out what is expected and to
make sure that the Experts clearly understand before bidding.
|
| |
|
How do I post a Question/Service Request?
|
-
Go to the Create a Question page or the Create a Service Request.
-
You will be prompted to enter a descriptive title for your
question/service request, a good description of your question/service
request, what you would consider to be a good answer, how much you are
willing to pay, and how long you want the question to be posted.
Pretty easy!

| |
|
What is the commission schedule?
|
ExpertBee is here to help facilitate two types of questions; Questions
for information and questions for service providers. These two types of
interactions are very different, even within the same category.
For example, in the category Homework, there are questions for
information (an Inquirer seeking help with a math problem), and
questions for services (an Inquirer seeking a math tutor).
The Person posting the question (the Inquirer) simply pays the fee to
ExpertBee that they agreed upon. No extra fees or commisions!!
ExpertBee will pay the Experts for you.
For Experts answering information questions, the commision schedule
is as follows:
For Experts providing services, the commision is a one-time fee of
$7.95 paid at the time you win the question. Once
paid, ExpertBee
steps aside to let the Expert and the Inquirer work out the best
means of payment and communication.
|
| |
|
How much do I get when I answer a question?
|
|
After you win the question, the Inquirer will pay ExpertBee, and then
ExpertBee will pay you. To see the commision schedule, go to the FAQ
"What is the commision schedule."

|
How can I end (or close) my question early?
|
|
If you have an open question
you can end your question before the time you set when you first created it.
To be fair to the Experts that want to answer your question, if there
are already bids on your question and you close it early, you must still pay
and interact with those Experts.
Just click "Close Your Question Now" in the main question listing page
and you'll be able to close it
early (with or without winning bids). Just remember, once you've closed
your question early, you can not open it again.
|
| |
|
Why would I want to close my question early?
|
|
The most common reason to close your question early is because an
Expert has bid on your question that you like and you want to start the
answer process before your question end time. Also, some Experts will put
expiration times on their bid that occur before your question ends.
To be able to select this Expert as a winner, you must close your question
early. Although you can wait
for the question to close naturally, some Inquirers want to start the
answer process as soon as possible.
|
| |
|
When do I pay and when do I get paid?
|
For questions, if you are the Inquirer, you will be sent an email
notification after you select an Expert and you have
closed the question.
You then pay the agreed upon fee to ExpertBee. ExpertBee will
pay the Expert upon receipt of the payment from the Inquirer. Once
ExpertBee has paid the Expert, they will be notified that they have been
paid, and it's time to get to work!!
For service requests, if you won the bid and the right to provide the
service, you must pay a commmision of $7.95 to ExpertBee in order to be
able to contact your new client.
|
| |
|
How do I pay?
|
|
After you select an Expert to answer your question, ExpertBee will email
you a link to the billing section of ExpertBee's website. If you have
coupons you can apply them at that time and ExpertBee will send you to
PayPal to complete your payment. Within mintues of receiving your
payment to ExpertBee, the Experts you selected will also receive
their payment.
|
| |
|
How do I use Paypal?
|
|
You an either sign up for an account with PayPal directly
here or when you are completing your
payment owed.
|
| |
|
Can I use a credit card?
|
|
Yes, through PayPal you can use bank accounts, credit cards, or even other
PayPal credit.
|
| |
|
I received a payment email from PayPal, but it has not
appeared in my account, what gives?
|
|
ExpertBee uses an automated payment system with PayPal that is sent
every few mintes. Once you receive an email from ExpertBee a financial
transaction to send the money was verified by PayPal with ExpertBee.
However, PayPal holds all payments for people that have not confirmed
their email address. This means that while you can pay out (to ExpertBee),
you can not receive payments. If you still have questions try using
this link directly from
PayPal.
|
| |
|
What is a Verified Expert?
|
|
A Verified Expert is an Expert who has had a background/employment
verification check done by an independent company. This is an
advantage when bidding for questions that require a special skill or
background and the Inquirer wants to make double certain that they
are getting the right Expert for the job. If you wish to become a
Verified Expert, click on the "Get Verified" link on the
"Your Profile" page.
|
| |
|
What are email notifications?
|
There are three types of email notifications that ExpertBee can
send you:
-
The Bidding notifications that send you daily digests of
activity or that alert you when someone else has bid for a question
are optional.
-
There are alerts that you dont have to register for
in this category, such as when an Expert bids on your question, when
an Inquirer accepts your bid, or the payment related emails.
-
There are also general notifications about the ExpertBee community,
such as new categories or the most active questions. Most users
also use keyword alert emails in order to be instantly notified
if there is a question that fits their skills so that they can bid
rapidly for it.
|
| |
|
How many notifications can I have?
|
|
As many as you want. Hey, it's your inbox!
|
| |
|
Can I choose multiple Experts?
|
|
Absolutely. When you create your question, just select the
number of Experts you want to keep for your question. Of course, you
will need to pay each Expert their respective bid amount.
|
| |
|
Can I choose any Expert I want,
regardless of whether they are the lowest bidder or not?
|
|
You sure can.
You are never required to choose the lowest bidder. ExpertBee
keeps user feedback and ratings so that you can decide
which person is the most qualified to answer your question.
|
| |
|
How do coupons work?
|
|
As you pay ExpertBee the amount that you and the Expert
agreed upon, PayPal will allow you to enter a
coupon number. Just enter it there and you will be credited.
|
| |
|
Can I use more than one coupon on a question?
|
|
Sorry, but no.
|
| |
|
How do I leave feedback?
|
|
On the "Your Profile" page, you will be able to leave
feedback, and to read feedback for everyone you have been
involved in a transaction with.
|
| |
|
What happens if I don't like the feedback I received?
|
|
On both parties feedback pages, both the feedbacks will be listed.
Once you post a feedback, it cannot be changed or edited, so be
careful what you say. Try to error on the nice side.
ExpertBee cannot change feedback, and cannot resolve disputes.
